WINTER STEAM CONFERENCE HELPS TEACHERS BRIDGE THE STEM GAP

Online conference uses the arts and technology to connect over 1,500 teachers around the globe.

EducationCloset, an online resource for arts integration and STEAM in schools, is hosting their 10th arts integration and STEAM online conference for K-12 teachers on February 3, 2018.  Registration for the conference is now open for educators who are interested in learning more about Arts Integration and moving from STEM to STEAM education.

“We constantly hear from teachers who are desperate to engage students creatively in the classroom, but are unsure how to do that with current testing mandates and curriculum requirements,” states Susan Riley, founder of EducationCloset.com.  “These teachers understand that the arts are an essential component often missing from traditional STEM programs. This conference empowers educators to integrate the arts with STEM and to learn from other teachers who are using the approach successfully.  This is an experience for teachers, by teachers.  Attendees say they leave with practical strategies, processes, and resources that are working in schools, and develop new networks for support.  This conference provides a pathway for making innovative teaching the standard in all schools. And because it’s all online, it’s very convenient for schools, teachers and communities to attend and afford. One click and you have access to an amazing learning experience with ideas you can take right back to the classroom.”

The conference offers the ability for registrants to attend live via an online streaming platform or to watch the conference sessions on-demand for a full year after the event.  All registrants receive 10 professional development hours for attendance.  Registrants will also be eligible to enter the Fund My STEAM Dream contest for a chance to win up to $5,000 in funding for their Donors Choose classroom projects.

Registration is open from October 7, 2017 through February 1, 2018 and the conference begins live on February 3, 2018 from 10AM-4PM EST.  Learn more and register at artsintegrationconference.com
